UBRE for STALWART 6x6 HMLC
On Sale - Made to Order | Permalink to A160
British Army UBRE (Unit Bulk Refuelling Equipment) was introduced in 1975 and continued in service until around 2010. This modular system comprises bulk fuel tank units, pump and hose reel units and jerry can and oil racks, all of which may be moved or loaded by fork lift equipment. UBRE can be used on the ground or from the cargo bay of GS load carriers or fitted to an ISO flatrack for DROPS use. UBRE is generally used for fast combat refuelling of all vehicles but in particular the larger armoured MBT’s and APC’s of the British Army.
This very comprehensive 1/35th scale assessory by Rob Tearle comprises resin castings, etched brass details, full colour decals for all fuel options from 1975 to 2010 and vehicle hazard warning plates for fitting to a host vehicle. Other materials such as rubber chord and wire are also included along with full colour instructions.
The set can be completed as stowed for transport or deployed for fuelling. We also make opening fuel cover sets for most British armoured vehicles and operator figures, details of which are shown below. Many thanks to Mark Cobham for his assistance with the research for this project and NATO for the relevant JSP marking details.
This set is the correct combination to be fitted to an Alvis STALWART Mk-2 6x6 HMLC (see our product code K160 or K160u), and comprises 2x tanks, one pump and twin reel module and a can and tool rack unit. This version can be used to fuel two vehicles at the same time, (or twin tanks on the same vehicle).
