The Westland Lynx AH7 represents a mid life development of the most agile and fastest helicopter in the world. Capable of incredible acrobatic feats, it was chosen by the British Army among many other national armies as a front-line combat helicopter.
We have depicted the AH7 varient with 8 TOW missiles and related optics that served in the British Army and Royal Marines from the mid-eighties to the early-nineties.
Developed with great assistance from Mark Hazzard and Westland Helicopters (now Agusta Westland) the model features fully detailed interior, reinforced blades and rotor head assembly. cast and sheet glazing pre-printed with a cutting guide, extensive decal sheet with options for both Army and Marines use and comprehensive brass detailing including earth wiring on the blades.
This version carries the vortex sand pre-filters and IRCM exhaust diffusers and is typical of aircraft fitted out for the liberation of Kuwait in 1991.
The model was produced by Tim Perry, David Jane and Rob Tearle.
