Designed by George Moore and Rob Tearle these extensive resin models with etched brass details depict the main engine/power-pack and gearbox/transmission components as they would look when removed from the tank engine bay and either displayed on the ground or pallet or hanging from a crane (such as fitted to the FV434 Fitters vehicle or Chieftain ARRV or Challenger ARRV).

TN12 gearbox by Self Changing Gears Limited of Coventry; not David Brown. It was designed by Walter Wilson, one of the World War 1 tank pioneers.

The TN12 transmission was originally designed by Self-Changing Gears Limited but development, production and marketing are now carried out by David Brown Defence Equipment Limited for the Chieftain MBT.
