This Conversion combined with the excellent Tamiya Valentine MkII/IV includes the MkIII/V turret which allowed for a three man crew relieving the commander of his loading duties. Also in this set is the jettisonable fuel tank, POW can rack and the additional armour protection around the turret ring. A small etched frets provide the brackets for the turret stowage box, vane sight, and the ‘B’ Aerial cage. Full colour instructions show how to fit the parts and connect the headlamps with junction boxes and wire provided. Full colour decals are provided with markings for British operated vehicles in North Africa, the vehicles main theatre of operation in British hands. Also included is a highly accurate CNC machined aluminium gun barrel to replace the kit 2pdr gun

The Longline Light Strike Vehicle (LSV) was born out of an Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) for a fast lightweight strike platform for use behind enemy lines. Built and tested in the run up to the 1991 liberation of Kuwait for the purposes of ‘Scud Busting’ deep behind enemy lines.

Designated Ground Mobile Weapon Platform (GMWP) by the MOD the LSV was a tubular space frame vehicle with torsion bar suspension derived from Volkswagen parts. Powered by a 1.9 ltr petrol engine of flat 4 configuration and rear mounted for low centre of gravity and handling.

Mk1 vehicles were rear wheel drive, Mk2 (only 5 produced) were 4 wheel drive and Mk3 were 4 wheel drive with a re-designed rear end build around a 1.9ltr VW TDI diesel engine tilted to one side to reduce its overall height.

In practice the vehicle was found to lack the carrying capacity for long range desert operations and after the conflict the vehicles were passed on to 24 Air Mobile Brigade where full road legal lights were added as well as strengthening the frame and up-rating the suspension.

This kit covers only the 2 wheel drive SAS variant as tested at the time of the Gulf War. This vehicle had a crew of 2 sitting in fibre glass bucket seats and had a .50 cal HMG fitted in a Vinghog soft mount.

Designed by Rob Tearle, this kit is our first to have been almost entirely designed in a digital format allowing us to 3D print highly detailed and robust masters. Many thanks to Tim Perry for his boundless enthusiasm for good design and all things 3D printed and to Ian Young who’s brilliantly preserved vehicle was made available for us to research.

This comprehensive detailed conversion andupdate for the Meng Husky TSV (VS009) includes recovery winch, stowage box, recovery spade, re-modelled seats, communication equipment, a corrected and super-detailed L56A1 PWS (Protected Weapons Station) ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) and photo etched set including the ‘Birdcage’ ECM Antenna.

The 8 Tonne winch allowed, when introduced in Afghanistan in 2011, recovery of vehicles up to Cougar and including Husky and Jackal where previously only the huge MAN SV Recovery was available in theatre. The set comes complete with 90’ rigid tow bar, deploy-able earth spade for winching operations and is complete with cab switch and hydraulic pressure dial. The fully detailed Rotzler TR080 winch is nestled down in front of the recovery equipment box but has plenty of detail visible with its unique cable guide on top.Also included is the handheld control for the winch operator and wire to make its coiled umbilical.

Set of 3 Laycorn Logistics Boxes (or ‘Thomas’ Bins) in resin and etched brass. These lightweight, robust GRP, steel and plywood bins are often attached to British Army vehicles (particularly FV432) or stacked in the rear of trucks. The plywood shelves have multiple positions and the door can be opened or removed. Often these bins would be used to store tools and equipment in softskin vehiclesproviding a degree of protection from dirt and weather.

This set contains 12 Methyl Bromide fire extinguishers of the ‘Essex’ company’s design from the 1930’s used on British War Department (WD) vehicles until the chemical was banned as a toxic substance in the 1960’s.

In war time these were normally green (either deep bronze or mid bronze) with the metal holder being painted the vehicle colour. The striking cap and nozzle were bronze and some had a small bronze/gold label visible. In peacetime they were painted orange.

Replacement 1/35th scale semi-flexible resin track for replacing the ‘rubber band’ or poorly detailed injection moulded track supplied with many model kits. The set will contain moulded lengths, or links depending on the actual vehicle type with some extra links.

This realistically weighted wheel set containing 4 wheelsfor the Husky TSV from Meng (VS009) is an ideal alternative to the supplied vinyl and plastic in the kit. The set contains the front pair with small bolts on the hub and the rear pair with larger bolts.
