Warrior Enhanced Armour IRAQ 2005
A comprehensive resin and etched brass conversion set by Derek Hansen for the 1/35th scale Academy Warrior MCV kits. During operations in IRAQ in 2005 the already well protected Warrior IFV underwent a significant armour update for urban and convoy operations to protect against Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) attack.
This set comprises four extensive etched brass frets and straight brass wire to form the turret and hull enhanced bar armour grids. We have also included some non-standard improvised items such as solid drivers plate armour, driver and turret crew protective wire cutters and turret sight protection mesh. Resin castings for the mounting plates and bolts and ties are also included. Some modification of the donor kit will be required and instructions for this are included. This extensive set transforms the Warrior into the IRAQ ‘in-service’ version from around July 2005.
This product is a Conversion set and a donor plastic kit is needed to make the vehicle shown in the images.
